Children's Therapy Services - Occupational TherapyOccupational Therapists (OTs) support children and young people to understand and recognise barriers and enable them to overcome these to engage in everyday activities.
OTs work in a variety of settings including homes, schools and clinics.
Through the use of a range of assessments and interventions we are able to offer recommendations, advice and strategies to enrich a child’s functional development. We strive to empower families and schools to include strategies within a young person’s daily routine.
OT's work alongside young people and families as well as a number of professionals across health, social care and education.
Who is this service for? Children’s OT works with children and young people aged 0-19 who have significant difficulties with everyday functional skills due to a physical, motor or sensory based need that impacts on their independence and ability to participate in everyday activities.
