Type
Children and Young People Community Eating Disorder ServiceWe are the community specialist eating disorder service providing countywide treatment to children and young people from 5 years old up to the age of 18.
We offer assessment and treatment to young people with a diagnosable eating disorder. This includes anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) and binge eating disorder. For those young people who do not meet the diagnostic criteria for an eating disorder, we will try to signpost you to the most suitable resources and support..
We offer a range of evidence-based interventions within the community to young people and their families and carers.
We are a multidisciplinary team made up of a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist, senior clinical psychologist, dietitians, occupational therapists, family therapists, physical health nurses and specialist nurses.
Who is this service for? Children aged 5 to 18 years of age with a diagnosed eating disorder.

How do I register for this service?
Referral can be made by a healthcare professional including your GP, school nurse or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) worker via the Referral Management Centre (RMC).
