Community Paediatricians are paediatric trained, child health doctors, trained in both hospital and community settings. They have experience of working with children and their families with a range of conditions and needs. The doctors work with parents and other professionals to make a full assessment of the child's needs.

The Community Paediatrics team specialises in many different needs, including:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Child protection
  • Adoption and fostering
  • Looked after children (also called cared for children)
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

  • Hearing problems
  • Other complex needs
