Secured Services - HMP Bedford

We use an integrated service focuses on primary care, mental health, and substance misuse. Our care for offenders suffering long-term illnesses and mental health problems is provided onsite at prisons and inpatient units, as well as in the community.

HMP Bedford is a category B reception and resettlement prison for men, located in the heart of the town.

Northamptonshire Healthcare provide a full healthcare service at this prison. This includes primary healthcare (medical, nursing and pharmacy), mental health, substance misuse, and a wide range of other essential health services.

The healthcare department also benefits from having an enhanced care unit which provides 24-hour nursing care.
