When you come into care, we want to make sure you're healthy and happy.
A health check (also known as a health assessment) looks at your physical and emotional wellbeing to ensure you get the support you need.
What to expect
Your first check-up will happen soon after you enter care. A doctor will check your health, growth, emotions and overall wellbeing to see if you need anything, like medicine or glasses.
Yearly health check
Every year, a nurse will check in with you to make sure you're staying healthy. If you need extra help, like with your lifestyle, sexual health, school or your emotions, we'll connect you with the right support.

These checks help us find and address problems early, making sure you stay healthy and happy.
