Pallative care beds back in use at Danetre Hospital
As is always the case with all our services, we prioritise safety first. After recent temporary staffing challenges, we are pleased to confirm that all our specialist palliative care inpatient beds at Danetre Hospital are now available again for palliative care use.
Those palliative care beds which are not currently occupied by palliative care patients are ready to receive new patients who are referred to the service for end-of-life care.
We are grateful to our team for their hard work to quickly resolve the challenges and would like to thank the local community for their understanding and their support for Danetre Hospital during this time.

Our palliative care beds at Danetre Hospital are part of a wider, county-wide specialist palliative care service which also includes beds at Cynthia Spencer and Cransley hospices, alongside palliative care clinical nurse specialists working across our communities.
Anyone requiring urgent palliative care support should speak to the healthcare team providing their care or their GP.
