NHFT scores segment 1 in updated assessment framework
We are pleased to share that we have been assessed as Segment 1 in a new assessment framework launched by NHS England today. We are also ranked as 7th out of 61 community and mental health trusts.
In a move to create a more transparent approach to assessing integrated care boards (ICBs), NHS trusts and foundation trusts, the NHS Oversight Framework has launched a digital dashboard which aims to support improvement and capability within our NHS, both nationally and locally.
Available for the public to view, it will show how your local provider is performing against providers of a similar sort across the country assessed against six domains:
- strategy, leadership and planning
- quality of care
- people and culture
- access and delivery of services
- productivity and value for money
- financial performance and oversight.
Oversight teams will begin to monitor our Trust and continue to update this framework to ensure these boards are kept up to date for all.

Our Group partners, Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT) have also done well in this initial launch of the NHS Oversight Framework and are Segment 2 and placed 17th out of 61 community and mental health trusts for quarter 1 2025/26.
