Introducing NHFT Together: the technology edition
Welcome to another edition of NHFT Together, the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) magazine for our service users, colleagues, stakeholders and the wider population of our county.
The focus for this edition is technology, which is the first of the six THRIVE priorities of our NHFT strategy. These priorities are the ways we plan to achieve our long-term goals as a Trust. This aligns with one of the three key shifts of the government's new 10-Year Health Plan for England: moving the NHS from analogue to digital.
So in this issue you can learn more about how digital innovations are changing the way we deliver services - including a new online symptom checker for people with back, neck and joint problems, automated note-taking to help save our clinicians time to focus on care, and the expansion of our mental health text message support service.
We also reveal how feedback from service users has helped us refresh our iDiscover wellbeing offer for children and young people, why it's easier than ever for people to have their say on our services, how high-tech scanners have been helping in the fight against pressure ulcers, and how our digital technology teams have played a key role in the successful transfer of prison care services.
On a personal note, this will be Crishni Waring's last edition of NHFT Together as she reaches the end of her final term as Chair of our Trust. The whole Trust thanks Crishni for the difference she has made during her time with us, and the lasting legacy she leaves us with. Joining us from November 2025 will be Faisal Hussain, who is currently Deputy Chair at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and has ben appointed Interim Joint Chair of both trusts.
