Support is available for anyone living with HIV

There are more than 100,000 people estimated to be living with HIV in the UK. While this is something that can be difficult to deal with on your own, there are services waiting to providing you with tailored support.

Northamptonshire Healthcare’s sexual health services are a team of experts who are on hand to provide discreet advise about your symptoms, treatment and care.

Free online tests are available for anyone in Northamptonshire, only taking a matter of moments and a finger prick. Find out more at freetest.me.

Dr Sophie Herbert, Consultant with NHFT’s Sexual Health Services, spoke to BBC Radio Northampton last week about the treatment of HIV, what options there are to people across the county, and how to access support.

We run HIV out-patient clinics every weekday at Northampton, on Mondays and Thursdays at Kettering and twice a month in Corby.

We have a dedicated team of medical, nursing, pharmacy and psychology staff and work closely with our colleagues in the main hospitals in Kettering and Northampton.

If you want any more information, or want to transfer your care to us please contact the Summers unit on 01604 609766 (Northampton) or 01536 410647 (Kettering).
