Christmas is only a few days away, but it may be a little different this year and Christmas time can be a time of sadness and loneliness for some. We want you to know that there is support available this festive time.

In early 2020, we were all looking forward to celebrating the first national year of the nurse and midwife; an opportunity to reflect on the contributions that nurses and midwives make to healthcare and to all of our lives. However, none of us realised the unprecedented year that was to come.

We are so excited to celebrate our shortlisted nominees, announce the winners, and recognise the efforts and achievements of all NHFT colleagues at the Quality Awards virtual ceremony on Thursday 17th December 2020.

Is the Christmas food shopping booked? Did I order the last Christmas presents? There is a lot to think about this time of year, and it can become overwhelming at times. We want you know that if you have been worrying over the small things this Christmas, that’s okay.

Christmas songs are playing on the radio, the decorations are out of the loft and you may have opened the festive chocolates.

The lights and food can give us that 'festive feeling', but if you’re feeling down or low in mood - there is support available.
