A new specialist dental service based at St Andrew’s Hospital in Northampton has been launched to provide patients and service users with improved accessed to treatment, led by NHFT.

Occupational Therapy Week is an annual campaign which takes place from 2 – 8 November to raise awareness of the many opportunities within Occupational Therapy, and celebrate the amazing work of Occupational Therapists (OT) across the country.

Families and carers of people with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) will have access to a skills based programme provided by Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT), launching this November.

Colleagues from across NHFT have adapted and changed the way in which we work during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to ensure that we’re able to deliver outstanding services for our patients and service users.

NHFT’s welfare call service, which was first established by our volunteer services to provide vital be-friending services to patients and services in response to COVID-19, will continue to provide support until April 2021.

Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) are the third largest healthcare workforce in the NHS, with 14 professions making up AHPs. National AHPs day takes place each year on 14 October to shine a spotlight on these roles, and inspire the future generations of AHPs.

Mental health problems may affect all of us during our lifetimes, in one way or another. In order to break down barriers, and raise awareness of the mental health support available across Northamptonshire, and the UK, we’re supporting World Mental Health Day.
