Recruitment day for band 5 adult inpatient mental health nurses

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) is holding a Nursing recruitment day at St Mary’s Hospital (Kettering NN15 7PW) on Saturday 8th February between 10am and 2pm.

The day will provide an opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced Band 5 nurses find out more about working within the county’s facilities, as well as provide the opportunity to be interviewed on the day for roles of interest. The roles offered are based at two of NHFT’s inpatient mental health units on the St Mary’s Hospital site in Kettering.

The Forest Centre is a purpose-built inpatient unit for people over the age of 65 who are experiencing mental health difficulties. There are 24 beds split across two wards – Spinney Ward which accommodates functional mental health patients, and Orchard Ward which accommodates individuals living with dementia.

The Welland Centre is an acute adult inpatient mental health unit comprising of direct admission, assessment and recovery wards and a 7-bed female PICU service.

Inpatient mental health service manager, Trish Ribano, said, “At NHFT, we strive to continually improve the care that we deliver as well as nurturing the relationships we have with our service users, carers and other people involved in an individual’s care. We take a multi-disciplinary approach to caring for our patients, which is highly focused on their needs, and our staff are compassionate, empathetic team-players.”

Sarah Clarke, Recruitment business partner added, “NHFT is a Trust that makes staff wellbeing and engagement a priority; we know that in order to deliver the best possible care to our patients, we also need to support our staff, and the Trust has received national and international recognition for this. Our excellent quality care is reflected in our Outstanding CQC rating and other accreditations, including the accreditation from the Royal College of Psychiatrists that the Forest Centre holds.”
