NHS community and mental health heroes say THANK YOU for donations
Staff from Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) are saying thank you to everyone who has donated to support them during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Northamptonshire Health Charity has coordinated efforts to support NHS staff throughout this time, which has resulted in donations of easter eggs, energy drinks, cereal bars and lotions being made available to staff at NHFT this week. NHFT – which has sites across Northamptonshire including Berrywood Hospital in Northampton, St Mary’s in Kettering, Danetre Hospital in Daventry and Corby Community Hospital - has operated ‘pop up stalls’ throughout this week to ensure the donations make their way to NHS staff in all areas of the county.
The charity has also made donations for patients on the wards at Berrywood hospital, including colouring pens and pencils, puzzle books, cards, dominoes, plant pots and bulbs.
Sarah Wilson, Service Manager for Inpatient Mental Health Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy at NHFT said, “It’s so touching to see the donations arrive today. Being able to take a short break to come and get a snack or some much-needed hand lotion really helps us to carry on staying strong for our patients and service users during this really challenging time.
The donations for patients are also so important – they were thrilled to know that somebody is thinking of them and providing something positive to focus on at this challenging time. Thank you to the Northamptonshire Health Charity and everyone who’s donated.”

Members of the public can contribute to Northamptonshire Health Charity’s Coronavirus appeal, either by donating online, or by purchasing items from their Amazon wishlist. Donations go directly to supporting staff working for Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust or Northampton General Hospital.
