Northamptonshire Integrated Sexual Health Services - refurbishment of clinics update
Significant refurbishment works started at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s Integrated Sexual Health Services based at Northampton General Hospital on Monday 18 January and we are pleased to report phase one of the refurbishment is now complete.
In order to start phase two, the clinic will be closed on 14, 15 and 16 March and will reopen on Thursday 17 March 2016. We are continuing to run services from other sites. Please telephone for advice or to arrange an appointment on the numbers below.
- For those able to travel, we continue to run a service at the Ashwood Centre, St Mary’s Hospital, Kettering. Please PHONE on 01536 410647
- If you are unable to travel and need to be seen at the NGH site, please PHONE on 01604 637203. You will be advised of when staff will best be able to assist you. This will change on a daily basis as the building work progresses.
Please note the refurbishment will include the current patient waiting room. For this reason, you will be required to wait outside of the department utilising the provided chairs during this period of time. Many of the clinical rooms will be under refurbishment and out of use. BOOKING an appointment will greatly assist staff with their planning arrangements and enable them to see as many patients as possible. Please try to avoid ‘dropping in’ unless it is an emergency.
It is inevitable there will be inconvenience during this period. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding whilst we create additional clinical space and capacity for the future. Please contact one of the following persons directly if you encounter significant access problems.
