NHFT has been shortlisted for prestigious ‘Provider Trust of the year’ award
The Trust has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award in the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards 2017; Provider Trust of the Year.
This year, the HSJ received over 1500 submissions for their awards from different organisations so to make the shortlist for this award is an outstanding achievement. The shortlisting comes a few months after the Trust was rated as ‘Good’ overall and ‘Outstanding’ in the Caring domain by the Care Quality Commission.
Chief Executive, Angela Hillery said, “Our Trust has been on an incredible journey over the past few years and to be shortlisted for Provider Trust of the Year is welcome recognition of the hard work of our staff, colleagues and service users who have worked tirelessly to continuously improve what we do. We know that nationally and locally we are working in a challenging healthcare environment but we remain focussed and committed to making a positive difference for our communities, those who work for us and those we care for.”
The awards celebrate projects and initiatives that deliver healthcare excellence and innovation. Being shortlisted recognises our commitment to being a national leader in the provision of outstanding compassionate care.
Trust Chair, Crishni Waring said, “Working in partnership with our service users and local providers of care is at the core of all we do. We have worked with our staff and colleagues to drive forward positive change and embed a culture of continuous improvement. I am very proud to be part of this important journey for the communities we care for.”
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in November.
