NHFT response and preparedness for junior doctors strike activity
You will no doubt be aware of the Junior Doctor strike activity. The industrial action planned for 10 February 2016 will now be 24 hour emergency care only:
- 8am Wednesday 10 February to 8am Thursday 11 February – emergency care only
Our teams have been working closely together to prepare in the event that any junior doctor strike activity affects our services. We have been developing contingency plans as necessary to ensure patient safety is maintained at all times.
Due to the nature of our services we do have a lower number of junior doctors than our local acute colleagues; however our priority still remains ensuring any potential disruption, does not put patient welfare or safety at risk.
