Introducing NHFT Together: the responsive edition
Welcome to another new edition of NHFT Together, the quarterly magazine from Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) for our service users, colleagues, stakeholders and the wider population of our county.
In this issue, we continue our focus on each of the different elements of our THRIVE strategy with a closer look at how the services we provide are responsive. What do we mean by responsive? It's about recognising the differences in the communities we serve and the way they are changing and evolving - and then making sure we are quick to respond in the way we deliver and develop our care.
There's plenty to discover when it comes to our responsiveness, so read on to find out about new initiatives to tackle substance misuse and boost wellbeing and rehabilitation at the prisons where we provide healthcare. We also go behind the scenes with our Mental Health Number and Urgent Community Response teams to see how they are working to respond to the health needs of our populations every day.
We introduce you to our small but dedicated Sexual Health Outreach team, who get out and about around the county to provide education, advice, contraception and testing to targeted groups - and are behind a viral video that's breaking records on YouTube!
You can also meet the fantastic Community Eating Disorder service for children and young people, including their four-legged friend who's always ready to greet service users with a friendly welcome.
And finally, you can discover why our Trust's own Library service is about so much more than just books, and get to know another NHFT governor in our regular 'Meet the Governor' feature.
