Elections ahead for new NHFT Governors - could it be you?
Nominations are opening soon for eight new NHFT governors - and anyone can apply if they are over the age of 16 and live in Northamptonshire, use our services or care for someone who does.
The vacancies are for Public Governor seats in Kettering and Corby, Northampton, and Wellingborough and East Northamptonshire, with two Patient or Carer Governor seats also available.
Each seat is for a term of up to three years and they are open to NHFT members who live in those constituencies or are patients or carers of patients using Trust services within the last 10 years.
Governor nominations can be made between Tuesday 27 January and Tuesday 24 February, and if more people are nominated in any constituency than there are seats available, elections will be held.
If only one person is nominated per seat, they will be appointed automatically.
Faisal Hussain, Interim Chair at NHFT (pictured

"Our governors provide a vital link between the Trust and the people we serve, and they are the voices of their communities.
"If you want to play a part in shaping the future of NHS services in your area, this could be just the role for you."
To stand for one of the governor vacancies, you must be an NHFT member. If you're not already a member, it's really easy to sign up.
