Young people’s wellbeing support now easier to access with new booking platform
A new online booking platform for NHFT's iDiscover courses and workshops makes it easier than ever for young people to give their wellbeing a boost.
Previously, anyone wishing to join an online or in-person iDiscover session had to complete a two-step process - first registering with iDiscover by completing a form, and then visiting an external booking website to reserve their place.
Now the iDiscover team has responded to feedback from young people and partners to develop a new, easy-to-navigate, one-step solution. So now the whole booking process can be done via one simple link from the NHFT website.
iDiscover is a community of children, young people and those who support them across Northamptonshire. It offers a wide range of free activities and resources that anyone can access online, as well as regular courses and workshops led by experts and developed in partnership with young people.
Courses and workshops offered by iDiscover include sessions on improving sleep habits, online safety awareness, making a calm kit, one-page profiles, and the chance to join the NHFT Children's Services Recruitment Panel or develop skills as a young trainer.
As well as being open to children and young people, iDiscover courses and workshops are available for their parents, carers and supporters to attend.
The iDiscover website also features wellbeing toolkits where young people can find advice and information about managing their mental health and emotional wellbeing, handling tricky thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and support services available to help them.
There's even recommendations from other young people for wellbeing apps, podcasts, videos and games to try - plus a dedicated resource hub designed for parents and carers.
