Join our webinar on suicide awareness and prevention
Understanding suicide and knowing how to respond to concerns can help us better support the people around us, whether that's a friend, family member, colleague or someone in our community.
Join Lisa Pearson, Trustwide Suicide Prevention Lead, and Andy Willis, Lived Experience Lead , for an informative webinar exploring suicide awareness and prevention on Tuesday 25 November, from 5pm to 6.30pm.
During the session, attendees will explore suicide statistics, common myths and misconceptions, the importance of using appropriate language when talking about suicide, and how to start conversations when concerned about someone's wellbeing. The webinar will also provide information about local support services and how people can access help.
This webinar is suitable for anyone who would like to develop their understanding of suicide awareness and prevention, gain confidence in recognising concerns, and learn more about how to respond when someone may need support.
By the end of the session, attendees will have a greater understanding of suicide and suicide prevention, feel more confident having conversations about the topic, and know where to direct people for further support.
