Updated mask wearing guidance for NHFT

NHFT mask wearing guidance has changed as of Tuesday 5 July 2022

From Tuesday 5 July 2022 NHFT has re-introduced the wearing facemasks in clinical services for staff, visitors and patients (based on risk assessment).  This guidance includes inpatient wards, outpatient services, and other environments that staff see patients. This change has been made in response to an increase in community transmission of COVID-19.

Masks will not be required in non-clinical areas which are located outside of clinical areas for example in corridors, restaurants or offices.

If you test positive for COVID or have any symptoms of COVID, please do not attend the hospital/ outpatient departments unless you have been requested to do so. Anyone visiting the site should remember to wash or gel their hands frequently, especially when entering or exiting a clinical area.

This guidance will be reviewed at the end of July. Visiting restrictions will not change considering this new guidance, however some restrictions are still in place in certain departments.

Thank you for your continued support and please note updates will be made as and when needed in line with the latest guidance.
