Speakers from across world join celebration of female leaders
Female leaders from the UK, USA and Canada joined a special conversation celebrating International Women’s Day and aiming to inspire others.
Speakers included Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s Chief Executive Angela Hillery, who joined female leaders from across the globe at the online event on Wednesday 13 March 2024.
Focusing on this year’s International Women’s Day theme of ‘Inspire Inclusion’, the event was hosted by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) and the Asian Professionals National Alliance (APNA) with support from the LPT Women’s Network.
International Women's Day, which took place on 8 March 2024, is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
The ‘Inspire Inclusion’ session featured conversation led by Asha Day, Co-General Secretary of APNA NHS, and speakers included, Angela Hillery, Chief Executive, Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Leicestershire Partnership Trust, Sharon Murphy, Director of Finance and Performance, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, Sam Allen, Chief Executive, North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board and Chair of the Health and Care Women Leaders Network, and Olivia Nuamah National Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging Lead at audit service PwC Canada.
Angela Hillery said: “It was a great opportunity to share our different career journeys, highlight our learning and actively encourage other women leaders.”
