NHFT welcomes newest public and patient governors

Following a successful nomination and election process, five new governors have now begun their roles with NHFT.

The new intake includes four public governors representing different constituency areas and one representing patients and carers.

Public Governors Ranjit Singh (Wellingborough / East Northants), Monica Maparanyanga (Kettering / Corby) and Patient and Carer Governor Pat Marshall were also re-elected.

Prince Caesar - Public Governor, Kettering and Corby

Prince is actively involved in shaping community health and wellbeing as a member of the North Northamptonshire Health and Wellbeing Board.

He is also CEO and founder of BAK UP CIC, a local organisation dedicated to reducing inequality and empowering people.

With experience as an NHFT service user, Ronnie's focus is on ensuring local services are consistent, effective and transparent and providing a voice for others.

He says: "I feel ready to make an impact for my community by being the voice needed in rooms they can't attend."

Charity Nkosi - Public Governor, Wellingborough and East Northants

Charity has a strong background in community volunteering across a range of areas, including mental health, substance misuse and offender rehabilitation.

She says: "I have a heart for my community and have always believed in voluntary roles."

A nurse for more than 45 years, Tina has promised to ensure that patient voices are heard at every level in her governor role.

She says: "I understand how important it is for patients and families to feel listened to, respected and involved in decisions about their care."

Peter Woolliscroft - Public Governor, Kettering and Corby

Peter has extensive experience in health and social care, and is a former chairman of the national Patient Association charity.

He was previously a governor at Kettering General Hospital and brings an understanding of the pressures and challenges faced by the NHS.
