Type
William Wake House and Fitzroy HouseWe offer a specialist inpatient pathway of care in medium and low secure settings for men aged 18 to 65 with complex mental illness.
Our patients may have been referred for assessment and treatment by prisons, the courts or from other healthcare providers. They may also be stepping down from higher secure placements elsewhere.
They will often have a history of offending and of behaviour considered too high risk for them to be cared for in open units.
The aim of our medium and low secure services is to provide appropriate, safe and timely care to support patients to find hope and develop skills to transform their lives.
Our multi-disciplinary teams work with patients to create an individual treatment programme for them that's based on their needs and interests. This involves offering a range of therapeutic activities, including mental illness and offence-related therapies.
Who is this service for? Men aged between 18 to 65 with a primary diagnosis of mental illness or personality disorder who have been detained under the Mental Health Act and meet the criteria for low or medium secure care.
