NHFT's CEO named the Health Service Journal (HSJ) top 100 influential people in health for the second year running

Angela Hillery, Joint Chief Executive of the Leicestershire Partnership and Northamptonshire Healthcare Group has been named in the Health Service Journal (HSJ) top 100 influential people in health for the second year running.

This list features the some of the country’s most accomplished health leaders, all of whom have been selected as an individual who will ‘exercise the most power and/or influence on the English NHS and health policy over the coming 12 months.’ Only the top 20 have been ranked, with the 20 – 80 ranked alphabetically.

The list features influential health leaders, including Professor Sir Stephen Powis, national medical director, NHS England and interim chief executive, NHS Improvement Amanda Pritchard, chief executive, NHS England, Dame Ruth May, chief nursing officer, NHS England   and Professor Chris Whitty, chief medical officer for England and chief medical adviser to the UK government.

On learning of the announcement, Angela said: “To be featured in the HSJ Top 100 list once again is a great honour. We have a distinct focus on delivering high quality compassionate care to our patients and across the communities we serve as a Group. Together, we continue to work in partnership and collaborate to improve outcomes for those we serve.

“Working as a Group allows us to share good practice and learning, we have introduced development masterclasses with guest expert speakers, which provide empowerment and resilience to our teams. We have also launched our ‘Together against racism’ campaign which supports and drives equality and equity across all levels, in addition to collaborating across services, including developing new solutions and approaches to Children’s 0-19 Services.

“I am proud to be Chief Executive of two fantastic Trusts, with outstanding staff who live and breathe our culture and values, making a difference every day, to each other and to our patients, service users and their families.”
