Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) is holding an Intermediate Care recruitment day at Romic House (Unit 4 Garrard Way, Kettering, NN16 8TD) on Saturday, July 7, between 9am and 6pm.
The Intermediate Care Team delivers an integrated, high quality, health and social care community led service for residents.
Clinical lead Paula Love said: “We have a number of clinical pathways which support our patients within their own homes. This includes treating and supporting patients with medical needs to remain at home by rapidly responding.
“We also work to rapidly discharge people who reach A&E in both our acute hospitals and facilitate rapid discharge from the main ward areas of our two acute trusts.”
Senior Sister, Sherrie Hill who works in the team said: “When I joined ICT as a band 5 I didn’t know if I wanted to be a nurse anymore, my morale was at an all-time low. However, I quickly realised ICT nursing was different from anything I’d ever experienced before, we offer patients the opportunity to stay at home and recognise when they need to be admitted.
“Shortly after joining ICT I rediscovered my passion for nursing, 5 years on this still continues.”
