Christmas Mental Health Support

Christmas snowman

As we approach Christmas and New Year, we know that this can be a particularly difficult time of year. At a time when many gather to be with families and loved ones, it can be an incredibly lonely and difficult time for many individuals.

Over the Christmas period, our 24-hour mental health number will remain open every day throughout the holidays, 24 hours a day. If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, you can call 0800 448 0828 any time.

You can also access the same team via a text message service that usually runs from Monday to Friday 9-5pm. You can send a text message to 07480 635531 or start a chat online here

This service is open over the festive period during the following times:

  • Wednesday 25 December - Christmas Day, from 9am to 8pm
  • Thursday 26 December - Boxing Day, from 9am to 12pm
  • Wednesday 1 January - New Year's Day, from 9am to 6pm

Our crisis cafes are also available over the Christmas period, with different venues available each day. Visit the Crisis cafe webpage for full details of opening hours.
