New Non-Executive Director appointed to NHFT

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Minty to Non-Executive Director of the Trust. Bruce joined NHFT on 1 April 2016 following the departure of Robert Peto whose office tenure of Non-Executive Director expired on 31 March 2016.

Bruce has 22 years senior executive experience at Board level and is the Chief Operating Officer at the Medical Research Council based at Swindon and London. His excellent business management skills, financial background and track record of managing change and achieving results will be welcomed at NHFT.

Bruce’s appointment was agreed by the Trust’s Council of Governors at its full council meeting on 9 March 2016 following the recommendation of appointment from the Council of Governors Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

Paul Bertin, NHFT Chairman said: “We are delighted to welcome Bruce to NHFT and look forward to working with him and using his expertise in performance management and business planning skills. Bruce’s skills and financial background will be paramount to the Trust and the local economy. Whilst we welcome Bruce’s appointment to NHFT, it is important to say thank you to Robert Peto and his eight years’ service as a Non-Executive Director to the Trust, his experience and skills were invaluable to us and we wish him well for the future.”

Bruce said: “I am looking forward to working with NHFT and the NHS; I have a long family history of commitment to the NHS; it is so important to the community and all of us. By joining NHFT I want to use this opportunity to make a contribution.”

Bruce lives in south Northamptonshire. He is married with a son and daughter. His interests are hill walking and keeping fit.
