An AHP is an Allied Health Professional? Do you know what they do, who they are, or the roles that fit within this profession?

This Live CareerChoices event provides the unique opportunity to hear all about the 14 allied health professions from current professionals working across the NHS and social care.

Conducted in an interactive 'patient journey' format, our allied health professionals will take you on a journey and provide their part in it. You'll have an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Art Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, Physiotherapist, Radiographer and Speech and Language Therapist supporting this event and available to answer your questions.

The key objectives for this session are:

  • Each professional will share their part in the patients journey and their personal career journey, guiding you on the many possibilities available
  • They will share with you the best bits and challenging parts of the role, to enable you to make more informed decisions about your future career
  • Furthermore, the qualities, characteristics and values required to be successful in the role, enabling you to recognise the transferrable skills you have and how you can harness these to guarantee success.
  • Finally, there will be a Q&A panel for you to ask all the questions you wish

If you’re a student, teacher or parent, or perhaps you’re looking for a career change or development opportunity or are currently unemployed, this live chat will provide you with insightful information to take you to your next career step.
