The Mental Health Crisis Pathways throughout Northamptonshire are committed to improving crisis services for our public to ensure current and future services are informed by the feedback of service users and carers.
A new service user and carer group is being established by the Northamptonshire Crisis Care Concordat and we would like to encourage service users and carers to come along. The purpose of this group is to invite service users and carers/families to an informal safe space where they can discuss their views and experiences of Crisis Care Pathway including the Police, Ambulance, Social Services, NHS or the 3rd Sector.
This September’s meeting will be focused around service users and their families / carers lived experiences of the crisis cafes and out of hours services for those with mental health difficulties.
There will be two groups, one for service users and one for carers/families, and these will be run by carers and professionals that are involved in Mental Health Crisis Services.
All feedback will be taken directly by the group facilitators to the Crisis Care Concordat to be discussed and actioned appropriately.
This is not a support group, but it is an opportunity to have regular input that will directly improve services.
The service users and carers/families groups will be held at the same time within the same building the first group will take place:
Monday 9 September 2019, 18:30 – 20:30 at Rushden Mind
Then every two months from 18:30 – 20:30. (Good parking facilities are available.)
Individuals have to register their attendance to attend these groups. To register attendance please click here and register online. If you have any further queries or require information please contact Emily Cheney on 07712 545159.
It’s vitally important that future services are informed by those receiving the services.
We hope that you will see the value to all of these groups and be committed and active in encouraging service users and carers to come along. Thank you for your assistance with this.
