Annual Public and Members meeting held online

teamNHFT went virtual this week (Wednesday 23 September) with the Annual General Meeting (AGM)and  Annual Public and Members Meeting (APMM) held online for the first time.

The online meeting allowed our public, service users, governors and colleagues to come together to reflect on the last year at NHFT. You can re-watch the meeting in this video:

Sandra Mellors, Deputy Chief Executive – Responding to the Covid-19 pandemic: how teamNHFT responded and embraced working differently during the pandemic.

Debbie Quinn, Ward Matron – the development of Favell Wing for Covid-19 patients who needed help in getting back home after their care and treatment within NGH and KGH.

Anne Rackham, Director of Mental Health Services and Adam Smith, Assistant Director – the mental health response to Covid-19 including the launch of The Mental Health Number.

Doris Addo, Chair of the staff BAME network - the impact of Covid on the BAME communities and the support they received.

Angela Hillery, Chief Executive – a reflection on what the Trust achieved in 2019/20, plus a look forward to the focus for the rest of the year.

Tremaine Richard-Noel, Acting Lead Governor - an update on the work of the governors during 2019/20 and how the work of the governors has changed this year.

Richard Wheeler, Finance Director - our annual accounts 2019/20. Followed by Richard Walton from our external auditors.

Questions and answer session - including issues such as safeguarding, the mental health number, Favell Wing, financial costs, our achievements and our continual focus on quality improvement.
