Our specialist nurses provide countywide support and symptom management for people living with Parkinson’s and related conditions.
We can monitor your medication and offer advice on symptom control, although we may refer you to other specialists such as physiotherapists or speech and language therapists, as required.
We work in partnership with Parkinson’s UK, The MSA Trust and the PSP Association who can also offer further help and support.
Who is this service for? Anyone with a confirmed diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and their families, with a Northamptonshire GP.
How to access this service: Referral is usually via a consultant following diagnosis. However, people with a confirmed diagnosis can refer themselves or, with their permission, health professionals or relatives can refer on their behalf by sending the patients full name, address, email and phone number to your closest contact centre.
